MAB Facilities Management LLC is pleased to announce the establishment of a Joint Venture with URBASER S.A., a leading Spanish Company in the waste management services, and the award of the “House Keeping and Waste Management Services of the city of Aqaba – Jordan” to the JV. The contract period is three years (extendable for another 3 years), and started on 1st February, 2021.
This project is of significant importance for many reasons. First, it adds a new vertical to MAB’s already growing IFM business model, taking MAB a step further towards covering the whole FM services spectrum. Second, it is the only outsourced citywide housekeeping contract in Jordan, which creates opportunity for MAB to expand into other cities within Jordan as s first step, and further into the region. Third, it represents a big leap for our branch in Jordan in terms of expansion.
Aqaba city is the first free zone concept in Jordan. It also gains its strategic value through being the sole sea port of Jordan. Located in the furthest point in the south of Jordan, it’s weather attracts tourists all year long, and is the home to all international brand hotels and resorts.

Under this contract, MAB – URBASER JV is responsible for the provision of housekeeping and waste management services. This includes: Street cleaning through an army of sweepers, in addition to road sweeper vehicles, beach cleaning, waste collection, waste disposal. The project employs circa 350 personnel.
